26' x 19' Garden Pergola

Photo shows 26' x 19' pergola with 8 posts. Pergola is anchored using 8 Heavy Duty planters all in Redwood. Each post is set inside the planter box. Each planter box is reinforced to hold 1' of concrete to secure the Pergola. The boxes are 40" x 28" x 38" tall. Neither the Pergola nor the Planters are bolted to the roof since this would cause leaking. The Pergola posts are bolted to the reinforced bottoms of the Planter box. This is a typical example of how Forever Redwood attaches pergolas to roof tops. There are other options, but this is the most popular. Above the 1' of concrete in the boxes (photo was taken as the concrete pour was being prepared) soil will be added and foliage will be planted.
