In the photo above, the bonsai was in a tapered planter for over forty years. So, we built the customer a new tapered box that was a total of 3/4" larger than the original box.

Contact us with any special requests: let us know the exact size you need for your bonsai. Make sure to give us the interior dimensions of your existing planter and we'll make the new box the exact same interior dimension or just slightly larger. We can build bonsai planters in any size or shape you need. Show off your special little treasures in this one.

Bonsai Planters are made with sturdy half-inch thick slats.

We can custom build and ship Planter Boxes in any dimensions up to 14-Feet long anywhere in the U.S. Standard shipping rates apply. In California we deliver planter boxes up to 20-Feet long. (If you live outside California and want a planter over 14-feet long, please contact us for a quote.) Most packages ship via UPS. Finish Options:

Your furniture can be finished in one of five ways (select during checkout):

Standard Semi-Transparent Sealant
If you want to keep the natural redwood tones— see images above. (Young-Growth will be stained to appear like Mature-Growth; click here for more information.)
Unfinished
If you prefer your finish to fade to a "weathered look" quickly, or want to apply a custom stain.
Off-White Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a light color. (We apply two coats.)
Gray Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a darker color. (We apply two coats.)
Wax Finish
If you plan to use your furniture indoors and would like to keep it looking great without sealant or paint.

Want to use our planters indoors with a wax finish? If you plan to use your planter indoors and wish to have a wax finish applied (no sealant or primer), we will only apply the wax to the outside of the box, not to the areas that will hold soil.

Growing Veggies? Any planter can be ordered without interior treatment - just write us a note as you're checking out, and we will not use our oil-based sealant inside the box. We will seal the box on the outside only. The planter box will not decay because it is high quality redwood.
