Trellises for Planters Kits:
Old-Growth - 30 Years Mature - 20 Years Young - 10 Years
Height is measured beginning from the top lip of the planter. The trellis frames attach to the rear of the planter wall with strong stainless steel carriage bolts in four places. The frame of the trellis is 2" x 2" thick and extends to just above ground level. The squares are made approximately 12" on center (depending on the length of your planter) to allow plants plenty of room to grow. If you are placing an online order for one or more planters and want a trellis to go with it, just order the trellis height and width you'd like with your planter. We can build the trellis kits up to 5' tall (above the planter's top lip) and 96"L. If your planter is over 96"L and you'd like to cover the entire length with trellis, please order 2 or more trellis kits to cover the length required. If you order more than one trellis kit for a large planter, the trellis kits will be built the same length (up to 96"L) to match the exact length of the planter(s) you are ordering. If you'd like the trellis kits to be a different length, just let us know in the comment section when you check out or give us a call. As always, if you don't see the size you'd like below, just call or email us and we'll custom size a trellis kit to fit your particular needs.

Your furniture can be finished in one of five ways (select during checkout):

Standard Semi-Transparent Sealant
If you want to keep the natural redwood tones— see images above. (Young-Growth will be stained to appear like Mature-Growth; click here for more information.)
Unfinished
If you prefer your finish to fade to a "weathered look" quickly, or want to apply a custom stain.
Off-White Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a light color. (We apply two coats.)
Gray Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a darker color. (We apply two coats.)
Wax Finish
If you plan to use your furniture indoors and would like to keep it looking great without sealant or paint.

Want to use our planters indoors with a wax finish? If you plan to use your planter indoors and wish to have a wax finish applied (no sealant or primer), we will only apply the wax to the outside of the box, not to the areas that will hold soil.

Growing Veggies? Any planter can be ordered without interior treatment - just write us a note as you're checking out, and we will not use our oil-based sealant inside the box. We will seal the box on the outside only. The planter box will not decay because it is high quality redwood.
