Rory's Big Playground Swing weighs over 300 pounds. It is so massive that it does not need to be secured to the ground. The only thing we recommend is that you add a few inches of gravel underneath each of the four post corners so that the posts won't settle into the ground. This swing has passed our kid test with flying colors. (Even adults want their turn, too.)

Rory's Playground Swing (third photo from left) is a slightly smaller, lighter version of the Big Playground Swing. The side timbers are made with 3 X 3's (instead of 4 X 4's) but the cross support timber remains a full-dimension 3 X 6. The Playground Swing comes with springs just like the Big Swing and is still a massive 220 lbs.

Swing Seat - You can also buy the swing seat by itself, or with two stainless steel eye bolts. The seat is three inches thick and twenty-six inches long.
